reader, anonymous, writes (13 August 2008): You needn't worry about toxic shock, but you should be making sure that you clean or sterilize anything that you put in your vajayjay. You could develop an infection and that would be embarrassing for you to explain.....an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
One more thing, make sure you don't use anything wooden or glass! Think splinters or cuts, ouch. In a pinch, cucumbers work well.

reader, anonymous, writes (12 August 2008): I don't know of any cause of toxic shock other than leaving a tampon in there for too long. I doubt you'd suffer that by sticking things in there provided that you pulled them out again.
5" is about normal I should have thought, depending on the angle of insertion. Scroll down to see a cutaway drawing and a load more interesting reading. Should keep you busy for about 10 minutes or so. Hope it loads ok!

many people brake they're hymen by doing normal everyday things like gymnastics, ridin a bike, horse riding etc...
but sometimes you don't bleed a lot wen u brake your hymen.
most peole don't brake they'r hymen when masturbating, but due during sex... i broke mine the second time i had sex, the first time wasn't painful or anything, but the second time was.
TSS is also very rare, so i wouldnt worry about that :)
but you are probably having a heavy period.
