writes: My period is nearly two weeks late. I have a active sex life, but have always used condoms, and have already taken two pregnancy tests (one done by my doctor) and they were both negative.I HAVE been under a lot of stress recently - am taking my A-Levels (final college exams which decide whether or not you're going to university). But after having my periods for 7 years, I've never ever been this late before. Could I be pregnant, even with a negative doctor's test? Also, is there anything I can do to make my periods come already, if it is just due to stress? - eg. I'm doing really vigorous exercise, taking hot baths, drinking calming teas etc. If it wasn't for my mum as well, then I might be able to keep calm about this, but she's really old fashioned, keeps track of my periods and is now flipping out. I don't know whether I should try and pretend I'm having my period, cos I don't want her to know if I am actually pregnant.

It's probably stress.... but if you're having sex (even protected sex) there's a small chance you're pregnant. Some tests aren't 100% accurate and do show false negatives. Did your doctor do a urine test or a blood test since blood ones are more accurate! Don't be afraid to go back and ask for another test if you're worried. Just bear in mind that if it is stress, worrying about it like this will only make it worse.
