There are over 65 million Americans currently living with an STD, 19 million new STD infections each year, one in three sexually active men and women living with Herpes, and about 50% of all sexually active Americans affected by HPV. One-third of all single and dating Americans now exploring online personal ads (BusinessWeek, 2006) and niche dating has never been hotter at STDromance.com

Good luck

A female reader, anonymous, writes (10 July 2007):

I've heard doctors reply to this question before about HIV and AIDS specifically. Even if she has Aids you can't contract it from saliva. It should have to be huge amounts. That's why they say that you can't contract the HIV or AIDS over kisses.

I don't know about any other STD's except for Herpes. Don't worry even babies contract Herpes Simplex virus from their parents. And 8 in every 10 americans lives with Herpes in their mouths. So that means that you might have it already. It can be contracted even if a person is talking to you very close, by the microscopic droplets breath has. If you've been kissed once in your life you might have it. Don't blame your sister.

Jamer70 agony auntWell the simple asnwer is no. Though it is true some STDs can be transferred through split it would have to be buckets full of spit down your mouth! And you would proberly need an open wound.

This all depends on your sisters health and if your really really really worried get yourself checked out. But the chances are very very very very very slim.
