I agree with SVC
Texting is not for important stuff like your child's health. The thing is, when you didn't hear back, why not simply call?
If she deleted what can you do? What can he do? I know she is the "new" GF but I can't imagine a girl being so cold that she deletes a text like that, why would she?
Sometimes texts don't show up (no matter how fancy or expensive a phone you got), sometime they show UP as delivered but they haven't. I don't text much (not much need) but I have had my husband call and CHECK on me because he sent 2 texts ( the I'm at the store do we need xyz?) and I never got them. The next morning though, I got both texts at 5 am...
From your post it seems MORE important to you whether his GF deleted a text then your daughters health, get your priorities straight, lady.

I have sent messages to my husband in August that he has not gotten till November.
Text messages are NEVER to be used for important things as they are not a priority for phone carriers and they piggyback the message on other data packets. This means they may be delayed or never sent.
Why wouldn't you call him to ask about your child?
