Question - (30 May 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 30 May 2010)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Ok i've been with my boyfriend for 2 and a half years, When we first got together he used to not be able to keep his hands off me and we used to kiss all the time but recentlly he just isnt really kissing me i've asked him about this and he just says he doesnt realise. It was really bothering me so i talked about ending it but then he kept saying he loved me and doesnt want to lose me! im so confused which does he want? also our college is having a sort of dance and well he assumed i would be going with him but eventually he asked. Even though he knew i was going to be his date he waited until nearly the last day before getting it and even then it was just because i told him to get it or il be going with a friend. This again sounds like he is losing interest. So basically im just curious as to whether anyone else is in this situation or if you's think he has lost interest. Thanks

A male reader, vssia United States +, writes (30 May 2010):

He has become so used to the monotone of your relationship. This likely stems from a lack of spice or flare thrown in every now and then. The reason he is still with you is because in the monotony of being in your relationship he has subconsciously accepted you as a part of his life, even if he doesn't really care for you.

My advice: find a new boyfriend, and do things every now and then to keep the relationship... interesting.

"Oh, but I can't leave him; I'm in LOVE with him."

He certainly isn't in love with you.
