So he fancies you. I assume you fancy him right back or you would not be asking and worrying about him meeting or being with someone else.
Maybe he's on holiday.
Maybe he's away for a family crisis.
Maybe it's work. My co-worker's hubby is a detective and he sometimes has to travel for his job.
My bigger concern is, you are putting the cart before the horse.
So you just found out he fancies you... and how did you find this out?

HiHe would hardly leave home because he met somebody else, it could be training or a transfer for some reason. Who knowsIt's irrelevant for now anyway because he can't ask you out or whatever until he's back home. Just carry on with your life as usual and maybe he will surprise you

Why are you worried about what a guy that "fancies" you is doing? There's no relationship at this point, so take it easy for now. When he gets back, if he's interested he'll continue fancying you.

I would give him the benefit of the doubt and find out why when he comes back what his reason is. It is possible though as my cousin is a policeman and on occassion has had to leave home for a period of time for different reasons. Good luck
