honey you ARE a school girl
and there is no way I would let my 16 yr old daughter date a 21 year old MAN.
21 and 26 is not that big a difference but 16 and 21 is HUGE.
and even with age of consent being 16 here where I live any sexual activity between a 16 yr old and a 21 yr old lands the 21 yr old in jail and branded a child sex offender for life.

Its probably just hit home what his friends have said, and realized how him at 21, meeting school girls of 16, would look from a 3rd person perspective.
I know you feel hurt because you like him, but try not to take it too personally. If this is the end, then it just wasn't meant to be.
