writes: The hard disk of my computer was taken out to place an external hard disk by my husband ones then he put back the original hard disk. In the process of doing, the pin of the hard disk got bent. Since then sometimes the computer does not start and sometimes it starts working again (kind of loose connection) . But this time it went off, it has never started. when i try pressing the power button the initial name comes when i press to put the password it goes off and a msg is displayed saying "an error has occurred". so i cannot start it. I have my photos inside it. If anyone of u know what should I be doing, where should I be going? please help me. Reply to this Question Share |

I dont understand spanish at all so i dont know what nasa mas and nada mas are. i guess from the context it might mean'' dont bend''. What ever it is but smthg went wrong , ok? thanks for taking time to reply. u sound more pissed off than i am about this computer. I am cool now, u also cool down.

Ms kellyxxxx I have no relationship problem for now , This is the latest problem in my life ,if i cannot solve this then i may start one hahah joking. Any way thanks for being there to help solve any relationship problems.

If you get as far as the login screen it's unlikely that a physically damaged hard disk is at fault.
Do you have, or can you borrow, an emergency boot CD? That should let you start your machine and pull your files off to a USB drive.
A decent repair shop can probably recover your files, for a price. I have heard of some that will do this rather inexpensively if you buy a new hard disk from them.
My seat-of-the-pants feeling is that something got knocked loose, or not re-connected solidly, when installing the external disk.
