Co-worker confusion!! How do I interpret his actions?

A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

how to tell if your male coworker likes you?

okay, so i got promoted and transferred to a new store recently. I've been there for about a week, and I happen to work with a few people who trained at my old store. Theres this guy who's a little awkward, but hes incredibly funny. He trained at my old store, so we were acquainted but hadn't spoken much, just words here and there.

When i got to my new store (ive been there for a week)

he was incredibly shy, but i always catch him looking at me which is strange. anyways, yesterday out of the blue im standing there and hes like, "are you going to come see my band?" i told him maybe. thing is, he didnt ask anyone else from work, and was extremely quiet today. His gig is tomorrow, and im planning to go with a couple of friends but dont want to make a total ass out of myself, as i just got out of a five year relationship and am horrible at interpreting men now. should i go, or should i not?

Laura1318 agony auntIt depends on whether you are interested to meet him and know

more of him or meet more men at that function.

If you are free, why not go and maybe you may see something you like .

You could be going there as a friend and nothing more.

birdynumnums agony auntI don't really think that there is a down side to going to see him and his band, it sounds like a fun evening with no strings attached. If he invited you, he would probably be happy to see that you have actually shown up, just as a supportive friend, I know that's how I would feel. I wouldn't worry too much about it meaning anything just yet, take it one day at a time. BUT, I think it sounds like he fancies you!
