Can't trust after breaking up

Question - (17 October 2007) 1 Answers - (Newest, 17 October 2007)
A female United States, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend and I broke up 6 months ago and we still talk on occasion. We broke up because he is scared of commitment but at the sametime he's been supposedly dating someone else but I'm not exactly sure if this is true or not. Well, now I've met someone else through mutual friends(he's 9 years older than me) and we've been talking a lot and he's very interested in me. I'm interested in him as well but at the sametime, I'm not looking to get serious with anyone right now and I'm also scared of getting involved with someone new. I have this problem everytime I do date someone new. What should I do and is it normal to feel this way after a relationship ends?

I say explore the new guy for awhile. You were in a rut, don't quick to jump back in it.
