Love sometimes catches you unaware, so how would you know where to hide to avouid it? It could be anywhere...
Not sure I agree that love is always a gift though. Mutual/reciprocated love perhaps, but few things in the world are more painful than unrequited love.

You can never hide from love, and not to be facetious but why would you want to? Love is a gift, an uncontrolled thing that few are lucky to receive. Don't get me wrong love takes work, and you can't help with whom you fall in love with. It seems you know you have love though and something is scaring you. Work on those issues inside yourself and you will be running towards love not bashfully away in the opposite direction. GOOD LUCK!
