 Hi dearie, of course you will still find love. I am afraid your ex acted very immature if he started spreading rumours after the relationship ended. I know you said there were untrue but even if you were at fault that doesnt still give him the right.
my previous relationship was very bitter and my ex acted very cruel.i havent spoken a word to his friends or family about it. I am glad you left this guy this should give you a clear picture of how your life with him would have turned out.
First, i am sure not everybody believes him anyway. I am not the sort of person myself that believes what i hear about another person i always try to be open minded.
second, i am sure if a guy really likes you and hears such even without meeting you he will still want to get to know you and make up his mind for himself.
Also, how are you ever sure that you will meet your ideal guy in your locality. You might just end up meeting him else where and this will give you an opportunity to let him hear your own version of everything first.
I say dont let it bother you, what will be will always be. The guy who is meant to be with you wouldnt let those lies get to him. A portion in his heart(the attraction) will drag him close to you to find the truth.
