I googled "how long can sperm live outside the body" and according to wikianswers.com the answer is 48~72 hours. that is dependent on the temperature and humidity. some sights said an hour...some said 3...some said up to 72 hours in a labotatory setting....but none said 5.
The bottom line is....sperm can live long enough to fertilize an egg even if you do not enter your girlfriend. Mal

 The "Hymen" isn't a closed object on a virgin; otherwise her monthly flow wouldn't escape.
The penis will release a few drops of fluid immediately after becoming aroused; and even these few drops have live and mobile sperm in them; so yes, if you have touched any ejaculate or fluid and transfer any of your little swimmers, you could impregnate a virgin!
The odds are slim, but take precautions!!!

The likelyhood of pregnacy is less....but still can and has happened. be careful...use birthcontrol and a condom if you have sex. mal
