I read online recently about how masturbating with a shower jet might damage the nerves.Did concern me as this is how I have done since I was a kid, plus I actually unscrew the end of the shower jet and put my thumb over the hose so it's a hard jet spray of water. I only do it 2 or 3 times a week. I wouldn't have thought it would do damage, but if I do it too frequently I do have to 'increase the power'. I only ever orgasmed through sex once, when I lost my virginity. No one is able to get me off since(not even me with my own hands. Literally the only thing that is any good is the shower jet and it's totally private for me. I was fine with this, as I know someone who can't orgasm at all. But now I'm worried this will not work eventually because there will be damage or something, or maybe it's the reason why I'm so numb to everything else?

Shower jets...no but I would steer clear of power sprayers.

I have been using an hand held shower head for YEARS... literally longer than you have been on this earth.
No nerve damage... and to be honest I don't find it hinders my other ways to have orgasm either.

I don't know about damaging nerves by the water-jets, but I do think you can desensitize yourself to by using "aids" such as vibrator/water-jets. It's kind of like the guys who are so used to the grip of their own hand that a vagina will feel loose (even if it isn't).
Personally, I'd take a break from the jets and try just using your fingers.
