writes:i am tryijg for a baby with my husband but studiply had a drunken one night stand which menat I had to take the morning after pill. Now i'm worried that taking this will effect me trying to concieve with the man I love, my husband?Does anyone know if taking Levonelle will effect fertility? If so for how long after taking it?

reader, anonymous, writes (20 March 2007): it won't make you infertile but it can change your period cycle! It changed my own....after taking it, my period was a bit irregular and that's how i got pregnant 2 months after:) I didn't know I was fertile, and had unprotected sex and found out i was pregnant 5 weeks later. I thank God for that, because now i'm 9 months pregnant and waiting dearly for my little baby boy! Good Luck

It CAN effect fertility if you use it as a contraception. But you have only used it once, and it should not have a lasting effect upon your fetility. Didnt you read the booklet ? Also, if you had unprotected sex you should get tested or you could give your poor husband something. Its bad enough you cheated, let alone risking his sexual health. Get checked, the levonelle shouldnt effect you, as the nurse told me it woudldnt. Enless you take it alot, then it can. If your still insecure go see a doctor.

 This is only an emergency contriceptive and should only be in effect for I belive 120 hours after that you should have no problems..
