Dancing is a great way to lose weight and/or stay in shape! I love to turn my radio to the dance station and dance for 15-30 minutes. If that is difficult right now, just work up to it. :-)

What I meant to say is, that I've already lost some weight and I've been doing it for a few weeks. I think if you enjoy yourself in a sport and forget that you're doing it for your health... it's more effective.

NO WAY!!!!
That's called "purging," a symptom of bulimia, a dangerous eating disorder!!
If you want to lose weight, of course you can, but don't destroy your health doing it! There's a safe way! And, it's really quite simple, there's no secret.
My biology professor sums it up: Eat less, exercise more... and do it forever.
Any exercise will do, as long as you get your daily allowance of exercise.
I've taken up martial arts again (after a long hiatus). It's an expensive sport but it's worth it because I LOVE doing it. My point is, if you find a sport you love, it won't seem like a chore.

Laxatives would not be a good or permanent way to lose weight. Sign up for sparkpeople.com or fitday.com and focus on eating fruits and vegetables primarily. Track your calories and eat 1300 to 1500 calories daily. Get exercise too! You will lose weight and you can still eat and be healthy.
You don't have to be like your friends, you should just focus on being as healthy as possible and keep in mind that we all have different body types. Don't loose too much weight, just maintain a healthy weight that works best for you.

The laxatives don't allow you to absorb the proper nutrients. plus you would gain all the weight back astoundingly fast and then some. Eating laxatives to help you lose weight is considered an eating disorder. If your really serious about losing weight just eat less. I know that sucks, but it's effectively the same. And if you worried about bulk in you bowels causing bloating then try a good colon cleanse they are more effective than laxatives and still allows your health.

Laxative can make you loose weight but there are lots of consequences of using them 1) you have to go to the toilet ALL of the time! 2) your bowels become reliant upon laxatives and they stop functioning normally, this can lead to prolapse of the bowel. 3) you could become too skinny and underweight, this affects fertility. 4) it affects protein absorption, protein is needed for healthy hair and nails, hair would split and not regrow and nails will become brittle. There are other ways of losing weight, laxatives aren't designed as a weight loss method! X
