writes: Ok,I would reeeally appreciate advice on making a period stop. Something that acts fast. although it doesn´t need to stop for a long time.. delay it for a few days would be great.i´ve not seen my lover for a long long time ( we live apart) and now that i´ve travelled a long way to see him, boom, mr period´s here. i´ve got only 5 more days left in this town. so if you guys could help, i´d be veeeery happy.

 Yes you can. Go to your Gp he can prescribe a drug that stops bleeding. He/she may not do it but they can. Cant remember what it is called ....nor something or other.....or start you birth control pill or dont leave the seven day gap.
It will NOT harm you, there is loads of research on the net to show this!

reader, anonymous, writes (20 April 2006): take painkillers, like ibuprofen or aspirin, they generally stop my bleeding, if you take approx 5. obviously dont overdose, theyll make u a lil sleepy but b careful. best advice is to just have sex with your period.

 Yes. There are two ways to do it. First is as the first reply just to take the new row of birth control pills to stop your period. (The row of different color pills you are supposed to take during your period are sugar pills with no hormone.) Second is to go to the OB/GYN and they have either pills or you will be stuck with a needle for it. Take care of your body and good luck to you.

 not neccessarily periods are part of nature and they are part of a women's cyclke . all women get periods you have to unfortuantely learn to love them its all part of being a woman.
