Unlikely. If you are looking to get pregnant, then it may be possible to reverse it and you should talk to your doctor about it.
However....and I am sorry that this is going to sound very cynical, but I really hope you are not looking for a line to spin your partner as to why you are in the family way, because frankly, 8 years after a vasectomy, he is not going to believe a "miracle" has happened.

I think the 3 month period is to make sure all sperms in the vas def are all dead or already out. Being that 8 years had passed, it indicates an all-clear sign. I seriously doubt you can still get preggy... I've had mine done 5 years ago and didn't go back for testing but haven't impregnated my wife after that...

You can actually buy a microscope and check for your self. It can be reversed, not sure of the odds of success, but I hear it is very painful.

one you have the snip you have to go back 3 months later for testing to make sure the surgery was a sucess.so yeah if the surgery didn't take then you could get pregnant
