We're both 16 and he often starts conversations with me about marriage. We understand it would be best to wait till we're about 20 to get married for the sake of our families. (18 is too young for them).Anyway we also have a very good sex life and lately we are having sexual intercourse more and more. The other day he asked if i would share a bath with him and maybe have sex in the bath. But he says he doesn't know if he can use a condom in the bath? I am also unsure whether or not you can? Please reply. Many thanks in advance.P.S am i right in thinking you cannot use flavour condoms in sexual intercourse? Thanks again

This is one that is answered best as "kinda-sorta".
You've got two problems with using condoms in the bath: first, condoms aren't water-tight at the base. So, potentially, as you are moving in and out, it will be possible to have water moving against the base of his penis and into the condom. This makes it possible for him to come in the condom and then have that come/water mix come back out...theoretically leaving you open to the possibility of having sperm into you that way. It should be a very small risk, but still a risk.
The second problem is the hot water degrading the condom strength. Condoms deteriorate in heat--also, if you are using latex condoms, they can be effected by bath oils, soaps, etc.
If you use a condom in water, you need to make sure that you put the condom on before getting in the tub. Avoid using too many bath additives and if possible, have your partner hold the base of the condom when he comes, to make sure that no ejaculation makes it out. He should be careful to remove the condom away from the water that you're sitting in.
As a bonus, though, if the water is very hot, the sperm will not be able to survive more than a couple of seconds.
I suggest you get a secondary form of protection (if you want a really carefree sex life, it is always good to have backup--worrying about pregnancy does not make sex better in any way) such as the Pill--so that way when you use the condom, you can be sure that you are completely protected.
Have fun. :)

Hi, you shouldn't really use condoms underwater since an air bubble can work its way under the skin of the condom and burst it.
I've never heard anything about not using flavoured condoms in intercourse. I'd imagine that there would be no point in manufacturing them if you couldn't.
