This isn't really a relationship question but i'm pretty sure you can help me.

Basically i've been wondering whether doing too much excerise can stop your period. A couple of years ago I used to do a fitness plan and it was like fifty sit ups, thirty press ups and a certain amount of jogging a day, just to tone up. But after I started my period I stopped doing it and i've lost abit of shape, so I want to start again but don't want to end up in a danger zone. Can you tell me whether it can stop your period? And how much you would recommend?

Thanks. :-)

PixiePie agony auntyes, too much exercise can stop your period, hence why gymnasts, even after 2 years of stopping, their periods haven't started again, let alone settled. any strain your womb or bloodstream has to cope with affects how much your womb lining remains thick and healthy.

light jogging, and a lower amount of stomach exercises are ok, but also diet affects it, stay healthy but don't push yourself.
