A male Ireland age 36-40, *achinehead writes:

so what can i say, im a little confused and im pretty sure its over but i just want to hear others opinions on this matter, as it is rather confusing and frustrating.

So ive been in a long distance relationship for a while now, everything was fun and amazing we talked every night for the first month or so, but i think i started showing signs of insecurity at some point and it could have started pushing away from her or something.

She started trickling off skype calls though she had time to talk to friends, she started ignoring me when she was with others, then one day i pulled her up on it and she wouldnt give me an answer, now i did the wrong thing and started pushing this on her and now she wont speak to me, she hasnt mentioned anything about breaking up she said she just needs time, now ive gotten to the point where ive tried to make it right now ive just stopped contacting her, the communication lines are still open but to me this is a very bad sign, but im unsure of how i should respond, should i pick up the pieces and move on or should i wait for her? im pretty sure she wants me to wait and i really do like her, im just unsure as to wether she acually feels the same way anymore, what do you think i should do?

Who agony aunt"...she wont speak to me, she hasnt mentioned anything about breaking up she said she just needs time..."

My guess (only a guess) is she is shopping around for her new guy, and she won't tell you it is over until she finds her new one. By keeping you hanging she can always tell people she has a boyfriend, even if she is not talking to you.

"...im a little confused..."

Get used to it. Unless you become a celibate monk and avoid romance all together, you are always going to be at least a little confused.

"...what do you think i should do?"

Most men make a fool out of then selves for love once in their lives. If you haven't done this already, maybe you should do it now and get it over with. Something like sell everything you own and travel to where she is, set up a tent outside where she lives and announce on a megaphone every hour on the hour your undieing love for her, and you will stay where you are until she accepts your love or you freeze to death. It's April and you are in Ireland, so I'm thinking you have a good nine months of this before there is an actually chance of freezing.

Assuming you snap out of it before rigor mortis sets in, go back to living a normal life. Before you know it a nice new girl will come along that will make you forget all about this whats-her-name girl and her what-u-call-it long distance thing-a-ma-bob.
