I have just really started to grow in the last few months so obviously this shows that i'm a bit of a late bloomer. I don't think my voice has broken very much yet but i have found that it has deepened. I am a singer and do quite a lot of things to do with singing. I really don't want to lose my voice after it breaks. What exactly happens when your voice breaks? Does it just suddenly break one day or is it a gradual process? My vocal range at the moment ranges from the E below middle C and then to the B above middle C. I am able to go higher than the B but its in a kind of in falsetto and it does put a bit of strain on my voice. Will i be able to sing this B without falsetto after my voice breaks? Any advice you can give me will be really appreciated. Reply to this Question Share |

It's gradual. You'll find that your voice will become deeper and deeper and you'll find the higher notes more difficult to achieve. You could think about coaching? And if you can't sing that high, just remember Pavarotti! He was a tenor. Lots of luck.
