and Cerberus is right too... only take antibiotics exactly as prescribed by a doctor.

If you want to prevent pregnancy start taking hormonal contracetives or use a condom every time.

No. Antibiotics cannot prevent pregnancies.
In fact, if you are on Birth Control pills and take antibiotics, they can interfere with the effectiveness of BC pills, so , in this sense, they even facilitate pregnancies...
