The orgasm is a direct result of the G Spot being stimulated far better than it can from vaginal intercourse. In my experience the having the woman lay face down, legs spread, and the male enters her from above. (Basically missionary, but her on her front rather than her back).
My wife has tremendous orgasms that cause her to loose control of her arms and legs (for about 45 seconds). She flops around, and screams and then collapses. I have to gently slide out and wait for her to recover, which takes a minute or so.
Other women I've had sex with had similar responses, some not. It's an individual response that requires massive trust.

Yes, they can. However, know that the clitoral system is the source of all orgasms. How it's stimulated (g-spot, vaginally, anally) causes different sensations. Some people can have an anal orgasm, many can't. That's the fun of sexual exploration, solo and with a partner!
