I am fairly positive that you can't get sick from having sex while on your period. Not to say that you can have unprotected sex because YES pregnancy can still happen (unlikely, but possible!!) and so can the transference of STD's, if you have any.
If neither of you have any diseases - completely clean bills of health - you can have sex while menstruating.
Enjoy, sweetness!

Well i can't say i have ever heard of anyone getting six through intercourse whilst menstruating, especially if you are both free from stds, and as for getting pregnant you can get pregnant at any time of the month.
So summing up i guess if you are both comfortable about it there is no harm in it.
Take care.xx.
