I work part time for a kids' birthday party facility, and we charge per child that participates. Sometimes parents don't realize this and they end up costing the hosting parent quite a deal of money when they bring siblings who have no real connection to the birthday boy/girl.
You are completely in the right for letting it be known that siblings were not to come, except those that are also friends. Don't feel bad.

Your party your rules! This parent is just being arsey about it, probably because she can't palm off all her brats on you for a day.

this is really weird.i suggest that you tell this parent nicely not to feel bad,and that it was your decision and you are not going to change it.dont let them get to you.all the best, hope your son has a nice birthday and party!take care

Its your party so you do as you please! If the other siblings were closer to your child then its ok to make an exception for them! Ignore this horrible parent who is questioning you! X
