Ya its true. The climate really affects our regular periods.
Actually for some humans their body condition/temperature won't accept the new climate.. Change in one country to another creates stress, home sick etc... In India Mostly the temperature will be above 20 or 30 deg.In London its quite opposite.Once your health suites to that climate perfectly you will be free from irregular periods.
No need to worry for this. (If you Consult the doctor they will ask you to do Pregnancy test. without getting menses also you can get Pregnant. so no worries)

I'm still not sure why, but on one site I visited a few weeks ago, it said that your menstrual cycle CAN be effected by flying, timezones and the changes of pressure in the air and everything :]

Cycles can be disrupted for a lot of different reasons. Anything from stress and diet to having a new circle of female friends can upset your rhythm. I would find a good gynecologist in London and talk to him about your concerns. Make a list before you go (and don't be embarrassed about pulling it out in from of them, doctors have seen and heard everything before!). I have also heard of people bringing a voice recorder along to play back the answers. It will help you remember all of your doctors advice.
I've never heard that temperature can affect your cycle, but worry certainly can, so taking all of your worries to a professional might put your mind at ease!
