Thanks fo rthe replies.
It wasnt meant to be a critism..just an oberservation!! No-one has pissed me off or anything like that.
I have travelled alot..worked abroad had not Brit girlfriends etc but I do find that British women of a certain class/education status tend to be far more subtle than simliar foreign women.
I just wondered why...I wasnt refering to a confrontational thing ..just genearally speaking...sorry dont mean to offend anyone out there. just curious thats all

during my life i have met women from all over the world
and i can say that hitting around the bush is a common behviour in women just like blackmailing,
because women in general dont like confrontaions and theyd rather get you to understand what they want in a soft way insted of direct and sharp order
because they are made soft buddy

British humour is subtle when you compare it with American humour. Maybe it's just part of the culture?

I don't know what British women you have been talking to. There maybe a stereotype about English reserve and manners but it is just that, a stereotype! Most British women that I have ever met do the straight-talking pretty well (me included).

A

It's not foreign women per se, I lived in London for a few years and always met women that were straight to the point. The same when lived in Holland.
I'm sure you'd find it the same here in Ireland.
It's about where you're from really, you're from Britain so British women will be subtle with you because you're intimate with their culture, whereas a Dutch girl would probably get straight to the point because you're not from there and wouldn't be privy to all the cultural, colloquialisms etc.
You want proof of this watch how most British women talk to foreign people, a lot of them talk to them like their hard of hearing or stupid or something, there's no subtlety there.

I'm pretty sure women not getting to the point or being straight forward i.e. being passive agressive is not a British trait. We do it because that's just the way we (well many of us) interact with each other. It's infuriating for sure. I hate it, but that's how a lot of grow up.

There not all subtle, it depends on the woman. Maybe the british are more reserved?
You need to start reading the signals and signs the woman is giving off.
