Its nothing like a proper period but is enough to stop me having sex as much and i am wearing a pantyliner to aviod the inconvience of it.Its another week untill my 'pill free' week therefore im confused as to why this has happened. However i have been skipping the pill free week quite frequently (Due to convenience) could this be the problem? Oh and even though i have break through bleeding does it still mean i'm protected? I have continued to take the pills everyday. Thanks in advance :)

If you have been skipping your pill free week then I am 99% certain that this bleeding is because of that. Break through bleeding often happens even when you skip just 1 pill free week, so if you are doing it frequently then you are going to experience more and more bleeding.
There are no medical reasons to have the pill free week - they have proven that there are no serious side-effects if you continually miss your pill free week. But as you are experiencing, it does not do your body much good and you will bleed throughout the month rather than in one week.
You are still protected, as long as you are taking your pill at the same time each day, are not taking anti-biotics and are not having any sickness etc then you are protected.
Quite simply - there is nothing wrong and you are protected, but if you want the bleeding to go away so you can have sex again then allow yourself to have a pill free week at the end of this pack of your pill and try not to skip the pill free week too often.
If you really hate having a period and want to stop it having them without so much bleeding then see your doctor - there are alternative types of contraception that simply stop your periods until you stop taking that contraception.
See this website for more information on skipping your pill free week http://contraception.about.com/od/prescriptionoptions/p/MissingPeriods.htm
But I do suggest you take an alternative type of contraception if you want to keep not having a period as this standard pill is not the right method for doing this.
I hope this helps and good luck!

Breakthrough bleeding is sometimes a common experience in women who have just started taking the contraceptive pill (especially during the first month).
In the majority of cases it does, and never happens again.
I do think you should discuss this with your doctor since it may be a sign that the hormone balance of your particular Pill does not quite suit you and may need altering.
There are a great many different strengths of Pill now available and each woman responds differently to a particular Pill, which is why there is not 'one Pill for all' available.
It is also important you have regular cervical smears – if you are due one then do make an appointment for this when you see your doctor.
Good Luck
