This Christmas they have both contacted me asking if I would see them again. I think things have just dried up on the dating scene for them what do you think?

 Yeah that could be the cause. That they can't find anyone else so run back to old flames.
At the same time tho, it is possible for guys to realise certain mistakes they made and want to get back with their ex's. If so, you need to do a little bit of detective work to see if they really want to be with you again or simply want to be good friends
