First up, I'm on the skinny side, but still have muscle, so i'm pretty happy with that, but the thing is, my ribs stick out, and every time I take off my shirt I feel embarrased about this, and tend to cross my arms over this. But they don't stick out the whole way down, just the bottom few stick out, so it makes me look alright, but on the side, it looks like my 'gut' sticks out.Is there anyway to stop this? Also another thing is that if you line up my nipples, go to the centre of my chest, and go an inch down, there is an indent in my chest, maybe also because of my ribs. Is this another thing from being skinny? I just feel really self conscience about it, especially as one of my friends pointed it out the other week.So basically, is there anyway to get rid of these two things? All help is very much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi there! Have you checked your BMI i'm a size 4-6, however my BMI is only very slightly underweight because of my height and other factors of my body which make me heavier :S xx Heres a web site that can test your BMI run by the british NHS :P If you have grown recently you may be alot skinnier because your body has to use up the excess skin while you grow which is the reason for puppy fat (notice this is lost when you are older :P)If you began exercising and toning before the age of 15 you may have lost too much puppy fat and your body may be substituting for it. You may want to gain a few pounds just to fill yourself out :) If you still need further advice feel free to message me or if you seriously do not find this information useful contact your GP
Good Luck and be confident :D xxxxxxxx

I would first suggest looking into your diet, find out if you're eating well and try to eat a bit more (you don't have to stuff yourself). If you feel like you eat well then I'd suggest some exercise/sport/activity but get some help! I have a friend that's a personal trainer and she tells me to run and do light weightlifting and cardio workout. Start small and be careful. Its really easy to weight lift wrong and you can get pretty injured doing so. Maybe think about a good muscle building protein powder mix too. DON"T OVER DO IT!!! If you gain 5-15 lbs your body will fill out and the little dents and such should disappear or become less noticeable. Ask the family physician/gym teacher as well, they are full of great information, either at your next 'physical' or schedule a visit. Just make sure you don't get pressured into a 'gym rat' or 'manly-man' type to do excess weight lifting or something else your uncomfortable with. If you gain weight and still notice dents and ribs ask the doctor, just to be sure. After all that... stop thinking negative about your body, let it go and realize that there are a good amount of great people and male celebrities that are really skinny. Some people will tease you out of jealousy as well. Don't let it get to you! Confidence in yourself is the biggest attraction of all!
