writes: This is slightly embarassing but i have researched it and cant get a definate answer.Me and my long term boyfriend broke up about 8 weeks ago and since then i have got a new man in my life. Now i am not a virgin and had sex hundreds of time with my ex boyfriend, however me and my new boyfriend who was a virgin when he met me had sex last night and the night before a few times. It didnt last very long obviously cause he hasnt done it a lot. So he was plesuring me with his hands after we had sex to satisfy me. Well now (the day after) i find it very VERY uncomfortable to pee and i feel like i have to pee all the time but when i go only a bit comes out and its always blood. This has never happened to me before and i am very worried about it. If someone could help me or tell me what i can do to stop this or help treat it without seeing a doctor then that would help a lot. Thanks x

As others said it's very common among sexually active women because of the close proximity of the urethra and vagina. It's not a big deal, go to the doctor or clinic, pee in a cup, and they give you a couple pills that will take it away in a day or so. I've had the same thing, it was painful but went away fast. From now on ALWAYS pee after sex or masturbation or any kind of action down there, it flushes out the bacteria and prevents this from happening.

I was told by my doctor that if you have the loo soon after intercourse (to urinate) then normally the bacteria is flushed out.

Since having blood in the urine isn't normal I strongly suggest you go see a doctor.

Are you sure he was a virgin? Because he could have had some kind of STI.
Sometimes when you get fingered, he can scratch you inside with his fingernail, this has happened to me a couple of times.
See a doctor to make sure it's not an infection.
Are you sure it's nothing to do with your menstrual cycle?

I have had this 3 times and every time I went to the docs, weed in a pot and found out it was a bladder infetion. You have probably got the same. Go to the doctors a few days of anti-biotics will sort it out.

Best go to the doctor. In the UK it's free and confidential, so no one else has to know.
