 To the anon male who wrote on 6 November 2009: you should get a second opinion. Blood in your semen for 4 years? Did he do screening for prostate or testicular cancers? Take cultures to see if you have an infection?
I'd get a bit aggressive on this, if I were you. You are your best advocate in the medical arena.

I have been to see my doctor who has said it is very common and its nothing to worry about. Thats ok if you are a doctor, and its not happening to you!  I also had this problem once too. Tiny capillaries burst when you get blue balls (from being hard for a long time without release). A good exercise is not to let masturbation take over, at a young age its a favorite activity. But there is a time and a place for it. If you're not in a place to satisfy the urge, turn your thoughts to something else. Give yourself a couple of days to heal.

I went to a doctor once for the same thing, and was told that it's usually a result of an injury to your penis, and will typically clear up on its own in a few days.
It would be smart to see a doctor just to be sure. On rare occasions blood in your semen can be a sign of other problems. Your doctor will likely do a prostate and testicle exam. But don't freak out, it's probably nothing.
