(I'm not very experienced)My boyfriend and I were in bed and then he said hang on he's got to urinate, when he comes back he gets going again and then lost the erection. Does having passed urine lead to being unable to get it up again for a while? He had quite a bit to drink that night and I thought that may be a more likely cause. He assures me it's not that he didn't want it, he just could not get his erection back again. Does this sound like a serious problem or does it happen now and again to guys?

This is to keep from killing the delicate sperm with the acidity of the urine. Thus, the body does not readily allow a man to pee with an erection.
If he was having trouble getting it to go back down, he might have simply masturbated then peed, and has trouble getting it back up afterwards because he already came. Some men take a lil longer to recover after ejaculation. Just a thought.

So it reasons that emptying th ebladder has the opposite effect. It has happened to me a few times, but a little "direct stimulation" and I am back in business. So, the alcohol could be the culprit in your case.

Yeah, it's much more frustrating for the guy than the woman..but it's common. No worries though there's always morning sex.

yep it happens now and then... don't make a big deal about it... use the time to kiss and cuddle and know that next time he probably won't drink so much and it won't be a huge problemIt's true that men are NOT SUPPOSED to be able to pee with an erection but they should be able to recover without a problem so I agree that the drinking was probably the bigger issue.

It happens from time to time. There's a million different things that can affect erections, differing from person to person. Think of it like this though, rarely does anyone not go through times when they're not in the mood or condition for sex... its just that erections are much more crucial to the equation.

Drink was probably the cause I imagine or possibly early signs of Erectile dysfunction.
