 I'm afraid you are overeacting here, if your boyfriend had been looking forward to it for ages then why should he have to give up his plans just because you couldnt make it?
It is a shame that you cant go together but you cant expect him to do everything with you, that isnt how a relationship works. He can spend time with you anytime, but spring break only happens once a year so that will be why he wanted to go.
I'm thinking there are probably other reasons why you are upset that he went without you; is it more because you cannot keep an eye on him and you dont know what he is up to? Do you not trust him when he is away?
Go easy on the guy, he will be coming back and he can spend time with you then. And think about it this way, say of you had planned a holiday that you were really looking forwards to but then he pulled out; would you want to stay at home and give up your plans just to sit around with him? Or would you rather go on holiday and then see him when you get back? I know what I would rather do!
