reader, anonymous, writes (18 January 2009): He's just doing it because you said it first. He'll stop soon when he realises you don't do it anymore.
You can ask him to stop. Just tell him that you don't do it anymore (it might be good to apologise for doing it in the past, it might wound your pride, but u want this realtionship to work). then ask him to apologise.
If that doesn't work, just let the baby have his bottle, he'll give up eventually if you don't give him any reactions to it. Or better still, just cooly arch your eyebrow at him when he says it, make it look like he's being childish. Works a treat.
But try apologises first and swallow your pride.

he knows it annoys you thats why he does it. either say im finding it really disrespectful and seriously now stop it or next time he does it ignore him or go quiet so he knows hes upset you. xxx
