Aunt Flo ruins everything!!!!!

Question - (24 April 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 24 April 2010)
A female United States age 51-59, anonymous writes:

I've been flirting with this guy for a 3 months now, fun! But now it's getting serious, for both of us. we talk every night, about everything. Ugh! but on wednesday I got my period, I get a little unsettled a few days before Aunt Flo arrives, and when she gets here I really get moody. I sorta blew up at my guy friend, and he was freaking out that I wanted nothing to do with him. Which at the time I didn't, but now I'm slowly coming back, and I sent him an FYI text about my every 28 day schedule. It was light and witty, because I wanted to smooth out any rough patches between us. I think I messed up because he is not responding. What can I do to fix this? Before when I got my period, we weren't as serious, and not as in touch via text or phone or in person, and I could turn into Ms Hyde at my discretion... I really like him!

Should I have explained in person? Should I call him?

janniepeg agony auntI am not sure if Aunt Flo was totally responsible for your moodiness. Is something else going on? Write him and tell him about your period. He might think that you get like that every month though. He must have said something to trigger your anger. Tell him you like him but it was a misunderstanding. If he doesn't respond it might be a sign he's not ready for a relationship. We always want to bring out the best side of us in dating. There is nothing wrong with being moody. Maybe you should just spend some solitude time with Aunt Flo and nobody else.
