Argued with my best mate about liking someone, is it unfair on this person not to talk to him to prove a point?

im so fed up !

i have just sort of had an arguement with my best mate. she accused me of liking someone when i dont. now i sed tht i aint gunna even talk to the person in question because they think i like him. i know this is unfair on the person but if i have to prove i dont like him then i have to do it right ?

Am I right or wrong?
