Our heads will always try to see the practical, sensible, logical side to things. Our heart will take risks, find passion, and dance in the rain. Both are useful. You just have to decide which one is best for you when it comes to making decisions.

Maybe colder. The mind is survival instinct to the Nth degree. It is a balance sheet that dictates we look out for number one at the expense of all others. The heart? Well the heart wants want the heart wants. It matters not to the heart that the girl you just met was a topless dancer. It doesn't really mind that she hasn't paid her rent in ages and is getting her lights turned off. The heart hears her laugh and makes you smile. The heart makes you scramble back on the dance floor ten drinks past being way too drunk to drive. In a perfect world we can set the heart and mind in opposition and hope they cancel each other enough to make it to a long and happy end. One with life and love and hope and grandchildren that might just tear up a little when their Grammies die and are buried. And that their heart wins the argument with their minds and they go out after they plant you and get too drunk to dance while toasting you the whole was through.BBQ

Yeah I have this problem, mainly back when I was single and thinking about going after girls. It was usually when I knew the girl would be bad for me but my heart and other parts wanted more.
I found the best thing to do is take time to think about things away from the situation so that the heart and mind can work things out.
