A female United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

Ok, lately I've been really hungry, tired, I have headaches and my back and stomach hurt. I've never had sex but I dont know why I have these problems? I know I cant be pregnant because I've never had sex but I'm kinda worried. I would like to know if this has happened to anyone else or stress-related, unless there really is a problem?

A female reader, AuntyEm United Kingdom +, writes (8 July 2009):

AuntyEm agony auntEverything you have described sounds like anxiety. When we are anxious we release adrenaline. It's the hormone that stimulates the 'flight or fight' reaction in us.

When your stressed or anxious about something and you have a rush of adrenaline, it can give you all the symptoms you have described.

You may or may not be aware of what is bothering you, but I suggest talking to someone you trust if you can. Also try some relaxation methods. A warm bath before bed, getting some early nights, listening to some music that you love...anything that allows you to dissolve your tension.

I hope you feel better soon.

Aunty Em xx
