writes:My last period was on 15 may and lasted for 5 days. I had unprotected sex on 27 May. Yesterday I noticed spotting of blood in my knickers, and slight spotting today as well. My left breast is very sore. I am not due on for another 9 days, but could I be pregnant? I also had sex on 30 May and bled a little afterwards. Ar these signs of pregnancy?

 to be honest best bet is to go to your gp and get a pregnancy test..are you on the pill? also you can get stds via not using condoms and pregnancy so use condoms and the pill to be safe.. thats my opinion aphexy

Its hard to give a clear reason for the spotting.
If you had sex on the 27th of May, then you would be close to ovulating, which would increase you're chances of becoming pregnant slightly.
It could just be you're body messing about, as they seem to do sometimes!
At the earliest, you can take a test about 2 and a half weeks after. Though for more accurate results you're better off waiting till after your next period, which (assuming you're usually quite regular) should be in a week or two.

reader, anonymous, writes (6 June 2008): Vow, firstly i dont think it was very wise for you to have unprotected sex. I beg you don't do that again, not just to avoid pregnancy bur also STD's and please donn't forget about AIDS, that is like a death sentence, no cure.
Secondly chances that you are pregnant seems unlikely, however, the spotting could be due to various other medical reasons: I do suggest you visit your health clinic and or doctor! Also do get them to advise you on contracptives, maybe the pill and let him use a condom!
Safe sex, is the best sex!
