Hi,

I'm a 26 y.o male in a relationship with a 27y.o girl, who I've known since I was 17. We went out for 3 years then met up again 11 months ago (the split was due to me traveling abroad). I was delighted when we ran into each other again and found the passion was still there.

Despite the fact that, outwardly, we're viewed as a strong, loving couple, there are a few things tearing me apart inside. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I would love any no-nonsense advice on the following - could the below be red flags?

*She'd split with a brief fling just before we hooked up again, and she mentioned her phone bill was high - she said "God, I'll have to cut back on my calls". Suffice to say, this made me feel little, seeing as she'd been ringing him beforehand (she still calls me a lot - but what a weird thing to say?)

* She doesn't say 'I love you' as much as she used to

* She arranged drinks with a female friend, literally 5 minutes' walk from where I work, and never told me she was going, or asked if I'd like to turn up

* She mentioned to me, on Valentines Day, that her ex had wished her happy V-Day by phone

* Sometimes she and her girlfriend go quiet and exchange worried glances when I come into the room.

I don't want to become some controlling maniac, but I'm thinking about these signs and it's not making me comfortable.

Any advice appreciated! Thanks!

pepper27 agony auntHi Hunny

Was she talking about the phone bill to actually make you jealous? I don't no you or her so its hard to say but sometimes girls can say things to make a mans mind work overtime...I may be quite wrong, She may be very much on the rebound and at 27 it seams a little silly to me for her to be going quite with friends then you get strange looks..This is behaviour of teenagers no disrespect but I've got them..

She needs to open up a little more hunny, Even if she wanted to go out alone I see no problem with that but yes she could have told you I guess that would be the nice thing to do..You know I'm having a girls night out its just down the road from you but its just us girls tonight! No probs..The telling you her ex wished her happy valentines day is again to get your mind thinking, How did her ex treat her was he jealous? Was there a lot of problems there? She most defiantly needs attention but I'm not sure hunny if this is good or bad for you, You need to talk about your worrys and concerns to get a better picture, You don't have to come across as controlling at all you are her b/f you have worrys you want to talk them through that's good..I hope you work things out..TAKE CARE WITH LOVE MANDY XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

roadman agony auntWell she could be just on the rebound and in need of a bit of company & ran into you while lonely, younger women tent to jump from one ship to the next quite fast and don't understand what they really want or let old feelings die,it helps to know who left who in the fling,my advise if you love the girl then go for it but don't get to deep into it,but don't spend or loan any cash,so if her and the ex get back or she says its over then you won't feel taken 4 a ride!!

Its a bit deep her rolling by 5 mins from your work place and not giving you a shout shes in the area!

Don't get lost with love, passion or lust..Your feelings may be right all is not what it seems..Just go along with it,and if she springs out the blue its over then its no shock to your system, its likely she still has the other guy on her mind even more so if she speaks out about him..

Your going to need time to she how she really feels, but your 3 years history with this lass will go in your favar over other would be cats in the alley!

You the man of the moment so enjoy what your getting while your getting it..You had it once and you've got it again, don't push it or you might lose it.
