I've stopped getting rid of mine now cos of the itchiness and ingrown hairs, but all my guy friends say they find pubes extremely unattractive. Is this true for all young ( between 16-19) guys? reader, anonymous, writes (27 December 2010): IMO, in their teens, men want to see public hair. In their 20's a shaved crotch, after that, a bit of hair is good, but most guys don't want to have to wade through the jungle to get at the prize.
The shaved look is fun for a while, but at a certain age makes me feel like I'm fucking someone way too young...

 Guys who spent too much time looking at porn are probably used to clean shaven girls. And from my own experiences, the girls I've been with have been clean shaven, so that's just what I'm used to seeing. But generally, a guy is just happy to have access at all, whether bald, trimmed, or bushy.
I know MANY men that prefer a little hair though, feeling that a hairless girl looks like a prepubescent little girl. It's creepy and makes them feel like pedophiles unless there's at least a landing strip. Just like everything else in life, everyone has different taste.

 Not sure about your age group, or your side of the Pond in general, but here in the States most adult men are fine with things just being trimmed. A lot of us still like shaven, though.
What matter most is what works for you, though. Decide if your priority is going to be comfort, or the preference of the guy(s) you're sleeping with (if any). Maybe choose just one, or maybe compromise, but the opinion of anyone you aren't sleeping with doesn't really matter.

All your 'guy' friends are still teenagers and have a lot to learn about women. Not all guys are bothered. In fact there are a lot of guys who prefer trimmed. Honestly do what you feel is right for you, have confidence with it and guys won't even notice.
