Not to worry, I will cover for 10 people =)
Now I'm probably not what your looking for, partly because I'm not a dental student, and I'm not Australian, and different universities do different courses. HOWEVER!: What you are meant to be studying for the first 2 years - apprantley - is anatomic sciences, biochemistry, physiology, microbiology, pathology, and dental anatomy and occlusion.
Don't ask what ANY of those are, because I wouldn't know.
Again I really don't know and this is down to research. Of course I encourage that your problem isn't associated with relationship, love lives or depressive problems, but people couldn't answer it because they couldn't help you therefore.
Hense, I recommend you go onto your University website to find out more information, talk to your teacher or if you've left school, try and find some people who have done dentestry - look I can't even spell it now.
Message me if you can't find anything anywhere, because my friends Uncle did it, and he might have some information. It just might take a while to get.
Sorry I couldn't be of any more help...=(
