However this fails to address the fact that porn is largely based around glorifying calling women bakes like slurs whites and butches and often times physically slapping or pushing then aroundThe standards of how women's bodies are potreated compeltely differnetly It seems a ludicrous argument to even try and compare porn to novels or movies because of the nature of the majority of pirn these days yet many pro porn argument fail to even address the way in which women in general are treated as if we are no more than meat and degraded through pornHow is it people can compare things that obviously have no comparison? Are these people simply uneducated ir failing to addresa the nature of porn because it suits their argument and purpose of enjoying porn? Why do some people think that it's ok to watch women being degraded and expect all women to be ok with that and even to try and say it's just like a book or movie. Are people today really so damaged by the porn culture that they can't even see the difference?

While it's true that porn has negatively influenced how men treat their wives, there are also many men who just watch porn occasionally for a good laugh and that's all. They still treat their wives with respect and no problems are caused. Maybe the ones who have a healthy attitude towards sex are refusing to see the reality out there, the sickness out there. They are afraid that a few bad apples give all men a bad name.
The comparison between porn and novels is to say that your spouse is too normal and boring as in the fantasies. Both have the potential to harm a marriage because people expect life would be more colourful than it is. Men want their women to like sex more, to be more submissive than they are. Women want men to be charismatic, romantic and caring than they are. Both porn and novels make money out of unrealistic expectations. The comparison is not to dismiss the fact that some porn actresses live bad lifestyles such as drugs and regret their career later.
What's degrading to you can be BDSM for some people. Some women like to be dominated. Sex can be lovemaking, it can also be animalistic. Everything is about moderation. It's only a problem if you get addicted and start neglecting your wife, or not care about what she needs to be turned on.

Porn is a chicken vs egg problem. If men were only to not watch it it wouldn't be there (chicken) and if only women were not so willing to perform sexual acts in the movies then men wouldn't be able to see it.This situation also leads to the fact that women who are watched in these flicks are not "degrading" themselves because they willingly choose to be fools. Porn is just a business that uses any possible marketing means in order to lay the eyeballs on the content, and statistics show that it relies mostly on gullible men. There is increasing evidence that regular porn watching has detrimental and lasting chemical effects in the brain and, I think, research needs to establish a new term - visual addiction - and so examine how to treat these men who are hooked on porn watching. Women like you, who feel are victimized by their men who watch this porn, need to deal with the situation the way they would had their partner been an alcoholic. You shouldn't, as some, whine against porn or cry helplessness blaming the world, but look into a therapy and convince your guy to enter it. If he refuses, just like in cases of alcohol or drug abuse, you have to cut your losses and let them self destruct.

"nice girls dont ..and nasty girrls do.." hence all the hearty slappings and hair pullings. It is essentially a victorian concept.
