Are my friends cutting me out?

Question - (2 January 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 2 January 2009)
A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I am 21 years old and I feel like all my friendships are falling apart. I was diagnosed with anxiety when I was 15, I decided to stay home after graduating high school and go to a community college here, while my friends went off to other schools. One of my friends I have known since I was 12, and usually whenever we see each other it is like old times, we hang out and have lots of fun. But lately, now that she has graduated from college and she is back home. She doesn't really seem to want to hang out with me. I know me having anxiety kind of made us grow apart, but I am better now and I don't understand why they don't want to involve me in things anymore.

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (2 January 2009):

What happens when you text her and ask her if she wants to hang out? What happens when you call her?

You can tell a lot from her reactions and how she tells you she can't meet up.

Call up and ask her if she wants to do something, if she says no then ask her straight out if you have done something to upset her as it seems she never wants to hang out any more.

Good Luck!! xx
