Hello buddies!

i was thinking...can we fall in love with a person that we never met? I mean,a penpal that we never met...? I talk with a guy called Josh since 7 or 8 months now and it's like my best friend, but i never met him!

I found him on myspace and we love the same things. He hasn't got a girlfriend,he's clever, and football player (all that i love for a man).I live in Belgium (next to France) and he lives in LA.There's about 2000 km between us...! My real question is: can we have real friends and love with people who lives far away????!!! It's not just a question about love,it's about everything.I've got other friends who live in the US and New Zeeland...do you think real friendship can happen??! I mean long friendship who takes long time like 10 years or more? I'm gonna study (perhaps) in the US after high school (i'm freshman) and maybe go to my penfriends' houses....

I met I guy on MySpace and we talk to each other on the phone and text almost 24/7 I love him soooo much and he sayd he loves me . He's the best boyfriend ever.So yes I believe that you can fall in love with someone you've never met . I have never met him but I still feel very close to him and know sooo much about him . I do hope to meet him soon. ALthough I live in the same city as him and you live way far away that doesn't mean you guys can't have a realationship. Maybe you can arrange meeting this person soon ? :) I also have a friend that used to live in the US and now lives in Germany . I still talk and we intend to stay friends for a very long time so I believe that you can be friends woth people no matter how far away you are from them .

I hoped this helped

I wish you the very best!!!! :)

A male reader, Dazzerg United Kingdom +, writes (23 March 2008):

Dazzerg agony auntI think it is possible to have a deep emotional relationship with somebody that you have never met purely because human beings can project beyond their own physical space. After all we hear alot of talk about people having 'emotional affairs' so it is totally possible to become emotionally attached to somebody without having met them.

However, you have to bear in mind that part of your attachment is to how you imagine this person to be, not necessarily how they actually are. You can get a very good impression of somebody from this type of relationship but the picture is never totally complete until you have actually met. I would keep up the friendship but be cautious of investing everything in it. Good luck :).
