They're not a great idea to be honest. Water can get in the small gap between the skin and the condom causing it to inflate and possibly burst. Like the other poster said it can also cause problems for your partner if water is forced up there since it can cause infections etc although I'm not sure how it would cause endometriosis since that is the displacement of waste tissue from the uterus around the bowel and other places where it shouldn't be. However it can cause infections more easily and if you're planning to do it in salt water it can irritate your partner's insides, causing thrush and other infections. Try to hold off on this one if you can.

having sex in water isn't a good idea in the first place; with or with out protection. the water can be forced up through the tubes and into the abdomin. this can cause endometriosis and it is very painful for a woman.
