Its ok for people who just want a little fun but that's not me and i only get hurt. Sorry if this sounds cynical but it's true. been there, done it and i wouldn't do it again. i'm pushing 40 and yes! very lonely sometimes but giong to try and keep myself busy and not worry about men for now, hope this helps x

online? Not gonna happen. basicly most of the dating sites are Full of singles guys, come to think of it the internet is basicly for single guys.
net dating doesn't work. if you're just looking to get laid then sure go for it.
if you wanted to try something try speed dating.. you know they're local and you can see them in the flesh.

Just for the heck of it, I posed your question to Google, then found this site and it's reply to your question, giving their recommendations for the top 10...

From their list, I wouldn't recommend SinglesNet page. I had a page there once and found that it was more riff-raff than honest people, not to mention spammers. Now, being a woman, you might not get the spam or fake bride messages I got. Originally, I was attracted by the price. Going cheap doesn't help you.
Of course, there's strong points for going with eHarmony or Match.com because they might have a larger number of members in your area.
Best wishes and have fun! I would remind you that your don't know who's on the other end of accounts these days -- be careful personal information you release!
