Question - (12 June 2013) 3 Answers - (Newest, 14 June 2013)
A female United States age , anonymous writes:

Hi, I usually don't think too much about my dreams, but this one is making me feel, so strange, and I just can't forget about it. I thought, maybe someone can give me some ideas here.

I dreamed, that I was visiting a summerhouse what my dad built like 40 years ago, and I opened the door and the whole entire ceiling was leaking, or more like soaked with water. and I felt , it will all fall down on me,.. And I run out from the house, and there was yellow police tape all around the house, and it said, danger keep out on it. Also there was some old items , from the house , all over covered with a blanket, . Whoa, I hope , I could describe it creepy enough,,, I just cant escape from this image. I wonder, if anybody familiar with some sort of a dream interpretation here. Psychological, or supernatural, ... Thanks ,

A male reader, anonymous, writes (14 June 2013):

Dreaming about your house is usually about you, your own mind etc. What do you associate "summer house " with? It 's falling apart or at least you fear.that it is. For some reason, we dream in metaphor, so avoid taking it too literally. For example, is there something from your past that you always thought of positively or fpndly and are now beginning to question? Finally, the.fact that the image sticks with you is reason alone to think that the.dream reveals something significant about you and your current state of mind.

AuntyEm agony auntI also think this is very revealing of something from your past.

A house does symbolise the inner self and the yellow police tape and things covered up with blankets suggest something that has been hidden or 'kept out' of.

Water in dreams symbolises the emotions so perhaps you will soon be given an opportunity to examine the past and find the emotional strength to uncover something you have kept hidden away.

In a lifespan, there is always time to uncover the truth about ourselves, but often the moment has to be the right one in order for us to cope...perhaps you are approaching a period of discovery xxx

llifton agony auntfrom what i've read, a house is symbolic of you. if this was your childhood house/summer house, perhaps this is indicative of you in your childhood. the fact that the house is leaking, perhaps represents that you experienced something damaging from your childhood and it's beginning to "overflow" or "leak out," even aftr all these years. perhaps there's something you have yet to deal with or that you're still having a hard time dealing with even in your adult years. did anything extremely tragic or emotionally upsetting happen in your childhood? i would start with that.
